The Falls of the Ohio Foundation supports the State Park and allows it to create and maintain a great exhibit and program experience. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, the Foundation is privately funded through the generosity of its members, individuals, charitable foundations, corporations, and volunteers. The Foundation is governed by a 20-member volunteer Board of Directors, a full-time Executive Director, and part-time Administrative Assistant. A Community Leadership Council, comprised of business and civic leaders, provides support and guidance to the Foundation. The Falls of the Ohio Foundation history dates back to 1987.
The mission of The Falls of the Ohio Foundation is to raise funds and support in order to preserve and interpret the scientific, historical, and cultural heritage of the Falls of the Ohio and to promote educational initiatives for a better understanding of this unique natural resource. The vision of the Falls of the Ohio Foundation and State Park is to grow in a way that focuses on stewardship of the resources as well as opportunities for the people.
