Group Volunteering / Service Learning Projects

The Falls of the Ohio State Park is a great place for scouts, school, college, and civic groups to tackle service learning activities.

Anytime:  

  • Trash pick up on fossil beds, trails and public areas
  • Invasive plants removal from our woods
  • Weeding flower beds
  • Trail clean-up / maintenance

Scheduled:

  • Set-up and breakdown of special events

More Complex (i.e. Eagle Scout-type projects):  

  • Help us develop self-contained scout activities
  • Rehab of bulletin boards
  • Photographing flora and fauna for our interactive web-based brochures
  • Videos and activities for our website
  • Developing activities for special events (as guided by park or foundation staff)
