The Falls of the Ohio State Park and the Falls of the Ohio Foundation invite you to join us in celebration of the Lewis and Clark expedition and the re-opening of the interpretive center after summer renovations.   Participate in family friendly activities hourly between 10:00am and 2:00pm.   Museum admission is required for the guest speaker sessions in the auditorium while other activities are free.

11:00 am   Guest speaker Mandy Dick will speak in character of Lucy Clark Croghan

Noon         Lewis and Clark Hike

Noon         Art Activity

1:oopm      Guest speaker Jim Holmberg, Curator of Special Collections at the Filson Society will present “A Brief Lewis and Clark History”

1:00pm      Fossil Hike

2:00pm      Lewis and Clark Junior Ranger Program

2:00pm      Art Activity

3:oopm       Guest speaker Phyllis Yeager will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Handshake Statue

Ongoing activities will include:

Period music performances by the Louisville Dulcimer society

Observation of birds on the fossil beds : learn about the time that artist John James Audubon spent at the Falls of the Ohio

Demonstrations of period tools and weapons.

Lewis and Clark exhibit in the River Room

Meet representatives from The Lewis and Clark Heritage Foundation, The Lewis and Clark Commission and The Clark County Museum
