Indiana’s Ice Age
- This event has passed.
- April 11, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT
Indiana’s landscape and the Ohio River was formed by ice and water through the Pleistocene epoch, commonly called “the Ice Age.” Dr. Henry Loope, from Indiana University, will give us the 2-million-year history of the Ice Age. How did the glaciers change the shape of Indiana? How thick was the ice? How many times did glaciers cross the state? Are we still in an inter-glacial period? Dr. Loope will explore what we know and answer your questions.
This volunteer class is open to the public with regular Interpretive Center admission.
