The 28th year for a special event at the Falls of the Ohio that focuses on fossils, geology and archaeology.  Visitors are invited to explore fossils, minerals and archeology with a variety of programs behind the Interpretive Center.  Events will include;

  • Refreshed Silurian and Devonian fossil piles courtesy of Irving Materials, Inc. (IMI), new minerals will be added
  • Outer fossil bed hike (age 12 years +)
  • Hourly guided hikes- 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm
  • Roving naturalists to help you discover the fossil beds for those who don’t want to join a hike
  • Create an “egg carton” geology collection
  • Get your unknown artifacts, rocks and fossils identified
  • Dig “artifacts” in one of our archaeological mini-mock dig station
