Enjoy a Month-long Fishing Derby
From the Falls of the Ohio Foundation!
You never know when the fish are gonna bite, especially with water as unpredictable as the Falls of the Ohio! So, this year’s Fishing Derby will be a month-long, digital event! When you register, you’ll receive a unique numbered tag in the mail. As you fish be sure to get a picture with your catch, include your tag in the photo, and make sure we can tell you’re at the Falls of the Ohio! Do this with every fish you catch in the month of June. At the end of the month, you’ll submit your one favorite photo into our Fishing Derby Photo Contest. Then, share the contest link with all your friends and family because the winner will be based off most votes – NOT most or biggest fish – so be sure to capture the beauty of the Falls and the fun of fishing here in every photo! This event is fun for everyone with prizes for each age group!

This event is FREE for all age groups 15 and under!
And only $15 for 16+!
Prizes include cash, gear, and a grand prize of 2 free nights at a Cumberland River Fishing Cabin!

Some Details:
Everyone fishing must have a Kentucky or Indiana fishing license per regulations.
Fishing must take place within the Falls of the Ohio National Wildlife Conservation Area.
At the end of the month-long event, participants will be notified by email where to submit their favorite Fishing Derby photo for consideration and voting for the prize.
TAG PICKUP AND FREE FISHING DAY
Tags will be put in standard USPS mail on May 25th. Or, you can choose to pick up your tag during the June 3 Free Fishing Day, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center located 201 W. Riverside Drive, Clarksville, IN 47129. There will be free bait available for youth during this event.

Proceeds from this event will support the Falls of the Ohio Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit that stewards the natural, cultural, and historical resources of the Falls of the Ohio area. No refunds will be given as proceeds from registration fees support the mission of the Falls of the Ohio State Park.
