Ohio River Pebbles

Learn about how such a wide variety of pebbles from the Ohio River make their way to the park. Attendees will learn how rocks are formed in different ways; classifications of rocks and how they have been smoothed by glacier ice and rubbing against each other. You will also learn to identify rocks by color and pattern. Participate in “River Pebble Bingo”. Appropriate for all ages. Free event. Meet behind the Interpretive Center. Wear closed toe shoes as part of the event will be on the river bank.
