The Falls of the Ohio State Park and Foundation offer many opportunities to get involved including group volunteering, service learning and our Naturalist at Heart Volunteer Program.
The Knobs, called Floyds Knobs in Indiana and the Muldraugh Escarpment in Kentucky, contain many unusual fossils of the Mississippian period. Naturalist and park paleontologist Alan Goldstein will pull fossils from the park collections from the Knobs and discuss what may be found and what it tells us about the geological history of the area.
