Family Nature Club: Safe Solar Observing

The sun is the closest star in the heavens where one  can observe features like sun spots and granulations with simple equipment and safety in mind.  Solar observer and park volunteer Tom Bibb will bring equipment and models to explain what astronomers know about the sun and how to observe it safely.  One hour program meets in picnic area behind Interpretive Center.

Interpretive Center admission is not required.  $2 program fee paid at admission ( Foundation members free). $2 parking fee.
