Prehistoric Tool Kit
New! Now Available!
Our newest kit supports your lessons relating to archaeology and prehistoric Native American life by...
- Providing artifacts (real and replica) for in-school, hands-on use.
- Providing background information for the teacher, organized in an easy-to-use binder.
- Providing an inventory list in each packet for ease in packing and checking contents.
- Presenting the artifacts as to allow for stations to be set up with all packets at one time, or for each packet to be presented individually, depending on the lesson plan.
- Presenting the artifacts in such a way as to promote archaeology as a field in which the excitement of discovery, the diversity of tactile interaction, and the connection to the human experience are all-important.
Archaeology “materializes history into something we can see and touch.” (KET)

Teachers must pick them up and drop them off during regular business hours. We cannot ship them.
Borrowing either kit is easy as 1-2-3!
1) Contact the Falls of the Ohio State Park by the internet at park@fallsoftheohio.org or by phone at (812) 280-9970 to find out if the trunk is available on the dates you request.
2) When you come to pick it up, you will fill out a loan form. This confirms that you will be responsible for the trunk and it contents.
3) Return the trunk on the date it is due and let us know how many students benefited from its use. You may call to extend the loan by one week the day before it is scheduled for return to the Interpretive Center if there has been no request by another educator. |
