Summer Educator Professional Development

Park interpretive naturalists provide teacher training in the areas of geology, paleontology, and

multi-disciplinary studies. These summer programs are offered:

Field Paleontology Institute - 18 hours / 3 days

F.P.I. Discovery Day - 6 hours / 1 day

Evolution and Adaptation (alternate years) - 12 hours / 2 days

Geology of Parks (alternate years) - 18 hours / 3 days

Probing the Wonders of the Falls - 3 hours / 1/2 day

Museums and Fossils Institute (alternate years) -18 hours / 3 days

Connecting Geology and Habitats (offered in 2012 for first time) - 12 hours / 2 days
